Description:Using Icon Keeper you can save information on icon positions at any time. Moreover, Icon Keeper automatically saves data on icon positions for the moment a user logs on. Thus you can restore positions of icons you have previously saved or positions at the time you logged onto the system. Icon positions data is saved separately for each system user considering current monitor resolution. Therefore, you can save items for different resolution settings. When restoring, the program will use data stored specifically for this mode. Here, your actions will not effect other users' settings. After installation the utility adds Enterra Icon Keeper item into the Desktop context menu showing up upon right mouse click. The item added contains a submenu providing for a command execution from the list below: Save Icon Positions command saves data on current icon positions on the Desktop. The data is stored in Windows system registry separately for each system user. Moreover, current monitor resolution is being considered. Thus, you can work at different monitor resolutions and save your preferences for each mode. To do so, you have to simply set up resolution needed, position all icons as you like and choose this command. Further, you can immediately restore previously saved icon positions while switching to a required mode. Restore Icon Positions command restores previously saved icon positions on the Desktop. The command may be unavailable if you have not saved icon positions yet or have saved, but with a different monitor resolution.
Restore Startup Icon Positions command restores icon positions on the desktop being automatically saved when you logged into the system. The command may be unavailable if you have not logged in yet after the program installation or, logged in with a different monitor resolution. As for the rest, this command is equal to Restore Icon Position command. |
